Mechanic
The Mechanic learns and supports every process and piece of machinery in the facility, focusing on diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues to keep production running safely and efficiently. This role combines hands-on mechanical work with high-level machine operation, including changeovers and tooling changes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Learn and understand every process and piece of machinery in the facility, including their mechanical components and operating principles.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues on production equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs.
- Perform mechanical repairs on machinery, including components related to hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and extend machine life.
- Operate machines at a high level, ensuring proper setup, safe operation, and optimal performance.
- Perform changeovers and tooling changes efficiently to support production schedules and product variations.
- Monitor equipment performance and report any abnormalities or potential issues promptly.
- Follow established maintenance procedures and documentation practices for all work performed.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to prioritize work and ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working around machinery and in manufacturing areas.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and understand complex machinery and processes.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical repair and troubleshooting of industrial or manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of hydraulics systems and components used in machinery.
- Knowledge of pneumatics systems and components used in machinery.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on production or industrial equipment.
- High-level machine operation skills, including setup, monitoring, and adjustment.
- Ability to perform changeovers and tooling changes accurately and efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing mechanical issues.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and maintenance standards in a manufacturing environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with automated or semi-automated production equipment.
- Familiarity with maintenance documentation and record-keeping practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with production and maintenance teams.
- Willingness to learn new machinery, technologies, and processes as the facility evolves.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a manufacturing facility that produces automotive adhesives. The environment can be hot and dirty at times due to the nature of the production process and machinery involved. You work around industrial equipment, including machines that use hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and spend most of the day on the production floor. Appropriate work attire and personal protective equipment are required to ensure safety and comfort while performing mechanical and maintenance tasks.
JobType & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Versailles, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
