Essential Duties Customer SatisfactionProvides and coaches store staff to deliver excellent service in a courteous, friendly, and attentive manner.
- Greets customers as they enter the area and thanks them as they leave; offers assistance and recommendations.
- Provides prompt, courteous service and resolves customer issues professionally.
- Processes all sales on the cash register accurately, handling money, checks, and other payment types.
- Operates fuel console, lottery machines, money order machine, telecom transactions, etc.
- Resolves routine customer concerns within established guidelines.
- Reports to work on time and follows the dress and appearance code.
Maintains overall store facility condition; notifies the Store Manager of equipment failures or maintenance needs; directs or performs general housekeeping duties.
- Sweeping and mopping or cleaning floors.
- Dusting and washing windows, counters, displays, store areas, and bathrooms.
- Picking up and disposing of trash, litter, or debris.
- Cleaning and checking equipment including coffee machines, beverage and refrigeration units, and other machines and tools.
Monitors and ensures product areas are stocked, rotated, and displayed to maintain freshness and appeal.
- Prepares or assists in preparing product inventory orders.
- Applies price changes per company and brand guidelines; places advertising and pricing signage inside and outside the facility.
Ensures all shift sales comply with company policies, entering and coaching employees on accurate transaction entry.
Financial Controls- Prepares and transmits daily bookkeeping, invoicing, and gasoline data.
- Completes daily banking, troubleshoots close‑out and shift sales analysis.
- Finalizes, transmits, and processes weekly time, attendance records, and payroll.
- Notifies the Store Manager of any sales, cash, inventory, or operating discrepancies.
- Follows company and brand guidelines for product breakage or spoilage.
- Performs shift supervision and assumes Store Manager responsibilities when needed.
- Schedules employees within company guidelines to maximize customer service and maintain store image.
- Performs and trains all duties of the Customer Service Representative and Lead CSR positions.
- Assists with counseling employees and provides feedback to improve performance.
- Employs non‑discriminatory management skills while hiring, training, counseling, mentoring, motivating, and separating employees.
- Reports all incidents to the Store Manager.
- Reports any unsafe, unlawful, or unethical conduct.
- Attends job‑related meetings; may require irregular hours.
- Controls merchandise, cash shortages, and other selling expenses.
- Assists in maintaining inventory levels and shift audits.
- Performs duties associated with shift change such as counting the cash drawer and completing end of shift reports.
- Provides reliable on‑site attendance.
- Performs all duties with minimal supervision.
- Completes daily store reports and other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 6 months to 1 year of retail and management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic business and customer service principles, including planning, resource management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and understandably.
- Ability to handle unanticipated customer problems using standard procedures.
- Ability to work as scheduled, arriving on time.
- Ability to accurately operate equipment such as cash registers or scanners, beverage dispensers, and other machines.
- Ability to perform all essential duties listed above.
- Ability to work in the physical and work conditions described below.
- Requires a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- Ability to work opposite shifts of the Store Manager.
- Open availability.
- Exposure to cold or warm temperature extremes in a walk‑in cooler, freezer, and outdoors.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds from ground to waist.
