We are looking for Retail Sales Associates to promote NRG electricity and gas services. You will engage customers in a local retailer to help them lower energy costs and achieve our sales goals.

• Work within your local retailer
• Engage customers about NRG electricity and gas
• Help customers lower their energy costs
• Learn and uncover consumer desires and overcome objections
• Foster professional relationships with customers and employees
• Welcome customers and politely offer solutions
• Collaborate with teams to accomplish goals and celebrate success
• No door-to-door, cold calling, or telemarketing
• Sell products and services in a retail store, kiosk, and/or event environments
• Maintain professional interactions with customers and employees
• Meet or exceed personal sales goals monthly
• Courteously welcome customers and offer assistance
• Direct customers to displays; assess needs and suggest products
• Advise customers by providing information on products and services
• Help customers make selections by building confidence
• Accurately document and report sales
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Track and communicate activity to Retail Operations
• Ensure workstation/kiosk is clean, organized, functional, and presentable
• Submit all paperwork accurately

• Regular and prompt attendance
• Meet established monthly/weekly sales quota/goals
• Customer/client satisfaction based on rejection percentage and substantiated complaints

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Six months prior sales, retail, telecom or marketing experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of products and services
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
• Ability to multi-task in a fast‑paced, team environment
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to maintain customer confidentiality
