Position: Direct Support Professional
Location: Lynda Lane, North Versailles area of Pittsburgh
Pay Range: $18.25 - $20.96 per hour
Schedule: Full Time (Staff
F) Week 1:
Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri 7:30a-3:30p Week 2:
Sun, Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri 7:30a-3:30p
Being a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Devereux/TCV involves working with other dedicated professionals to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities. The role is part of Devereux Community Services, a longstanding provider in western PA offering support for mental health, intellectual disabilities, and behavioral health/substance abuse needs.
Qualifications- Be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid driver s license & 3 years of a clean driving record.
- Agree to a PA state criminal history, child abuse record and FBI Clearance.
- Agree to a pre-employment drug screening, one-step TB and physical.
- Have experience with the developmentally disabled or as a care provider (ADL required in care delivery).
- Be empathetic, patient with behaviors and can apply the techniques taught.
- Be able to lift up to 50+ pounds.
