Office Administrator/ Coordinator
As one of the largest Clinical Research Organizations in the world, we have four Early Phase Clinical Research Units in the UK and US. We are currently seeking a Screening Technician, to interact directly with our healthy volunteer participants while learning to read clinical research protocols and enjoy working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. Each day is different, you will be exposed to a wide variety of Therapeutic Indications and study types (ascending dose, first-in-human, food effect, drug to drug interactions, etc.)
This is a full-time, office/clinic-based job in Madison, WI.

Mon-Fri / 630am

- Provides secretarial, clerical, and administrative support for a Clinical Pharmacology business unit or department.
- Performs administrative support and related duties which are broad, varied, and often of a complex/confidential manner such as handling telephone calls, scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars, completing Expense Reports, composes/types correspondence, etc.
- Coordinates and assists with various meetings/minutes (e.g., Management-Staff Meeting, Operations Meeting, etc.).
- Supports department's efforts on scheduling activities including client visits travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, agendas, etc.
- Maintains departmental files including but not limited to training files, client contract files, and project files.
- Serves as a backup for the front desk/switchboard.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Associate degree.
- Additional experience may be substituted for education requirements.
- 3-4 years in an administrative support role.
- Knowledge of science or a scientific background is preferred.
- Focus on the customer.
- Innovative and able to change.
- Requires unquestionable customer service skills, meticulousness, and the ability to be persistent while maintaining tact.
- Strong English writing and communication skills.
- Ability to type 50 wpm preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of computers and programs (e.g., word processing, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with many interruptions.
- Great attention to detail.

- Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists to operate lab equipment.
- Occasional crouching, stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
- Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
- Light to moderate lifting and carrying, or moving of objects, including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
- Regular and consistent attendance.
- Varied hours may be required.
