Electrical Engineer, PE I
Responsibilities- Oversee the creation of technical design solutions and/or studies.
- Provide technical authority and direction as the Engineer of Record (EOR) for electrical engineering designs, studies, and solutions.
- Participate as part of an integrated project team.
- Analyze, develop, and evaluate electrical systems.
- Improve and maintain current systems or create new projects.
- Design and draft blueprints, visit systems in the field, and manage projects.
- Apply engineering techniques and analyses within scope of assignments.
- Perform work under minimal supervision.
- Handle complex issues and problems, referring only the most complex to higher‑level staff.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate group; may act as a lead or first‑level supervisor.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience in overseeing technical design solutions and/or studies.
- Ability to provide technical authority and direction as the Engineer of Record (EOR).
- Proficiency in electrical engineering designs and solutions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an integrated project team.
Full‑Time, Exempt
ReportingReports to Engineering Director.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 4–6 years of experience.
- Strong proficiency in REVIT.
- Strong technical skills; familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Detail‑oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent multitasking skills, with ability to perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary.
- Experience with the design of healthcare projects.
- Experience with the design of higher education projects.
- Experience with the design of Central Energy Plant (CEP) electrical infrastructure projects.
- Experience designing medium voltage protection and power distribution systems.
- Experience designing paralleled generator systems at medium voltage and below.
- 5–10% of time spent traveling to job site(s) / office location.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Climbing stairs.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Quiet environment.
- Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
