- Perform specialized public health nursing duties in areas such as adult health, disease control, family planning, pediatrics, etc.
- Perform physical assessments and treatment according to protocol
- Perform triage, counseling, and educating patients
- Develop and review emergency management plans and operating procedures
- Train and counsel patients and families regarding medical care and treatment plans
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama, or a state with reciprocity
- Driver's License (preferred)
- Experience supervising the work of LPN’s (preferred)
- Experience with public speaking to present information, data, strategy, and/or research (preferred)
- Experience with project management in a healthcare capacity (preferred)
- Completion of FEMA Certifications (preferred)
Demonstrates expertise in public health nursing, including physical assessments, triage, and patient education. Proficient in developing emergency management plans and supervising healthcare staff while effectively communicating complex information.
