Overview
Job Title: Quality Assurance/Technical Service Supervisor
Reports to: Quality Assurance/Technical Service Director
Location: Marion, Alabama
Summary
The purpose of this position is to plan, develop and implement techniques, processes and procedures for controlling the desired level of quality for all goods received or manufactured within the plant. Responsible for coordinating with production, engineering, warehouse, suppliers and customers to resolve quality problems. Ensures compliance with FDA, BRCGS and other relevant standards.
Education
Education Requirements: Minimum of a BS in a related field is preferred
Experience
Experience: At least 2 years in Quality/Food Safety with chemistry/microbiology laboratory experience, HARPC/HACCP Certification
Pay
Pay scale: Based on experience, Vacation in line with current company policy
Primary Responsibilities
Monitor production standards, examining samples of raw product or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality and meet GFSI objectives.Directly supervise a group of hourly personnel performing various Quality/Food Safety duties.Implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance and other operational reports, to detect and resolve production problems.Study operations sequence, material flow, functional statements, organizational charts and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities as they relate to quality.Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to food quality and food safety.Train all employees as in the requirements of GFSI.Train facility production personnel in quality assurance theory and practice, processes and procedures.Ensure continuous improvement with suppliers and ingredients, packaging, work-in- process (WIP), finished product and equipment.Take necessary steps to control potentially unsafe or poor-quality product.Monitor the facility to make sure it remains safe, secure and well-maintained.Responsible for implementing and coordinating HARPC/HACCP programs.Conduct various chemistry and microbiological analyses within the laboratory.Develop, implement and monitor cleaning practices for the building, grounds, equipment, and utensils.Update, maintain and review all record keeping.#J-18808-Ljbffr
