Fixed Equipment Engineer
Fixed equipment engineer needed in Mississippi. Needs chemicals or refining background but manufacturing could work. Candidate needs good communication skills and a humble attitude.

- Maintain a solid understanding of company fixed-equipment programs, procedures, and industry standards (RAGAGEP) to support regulatory compliance and ensure the reliability and mechanical integrity of assets throughout their lifecycle.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to unit inspectors and offsite QA/QC inspection personnel, while retaining the ability to assist with inspection duties when workload requires.
- Review and approve asset systemization, circuitization, and corrosion monitoring location (CML) assignments for piping systems and fixed equipment across operating units.
- Assist inspectors with analysis of PCMS inspection data, including evaluation of inspection intervals, review of contractor inspection results, thickness monitoring reports, non-destructive examination findings, and inspection work recommendations.
- Review and approve inspection work plans, repair strategies, and Level 1 fitness-for-service assessments.
- Coordinate or perform Level 2 FFS evaluations and review Level 3 analyses completed by external specialists.
- Manage piping or equipment re-rating activities when required based on inspection results, engineering evaluations, or management of change processes.
- Support turnaround (TAR) inspection activities, including field evaluations, review of NDE findings, development of repair strategies, and FFS assessments.
- Determine appropriate test pressures for leak testing and perform calculations related to safe exclusion zones for pneumatic testing activities.
- Provide subject-matter expertise related to hot tapping and temporary mechanical repairs, including clamp installations on piping or equipment.
- Coordinate metallurgical investigations with external laboratories to support root cause failure analyses.
- Work with engineering consultants and technical specialists when additional expertise is required for the facility.
- Participate in maintenance and capital project engineering activities as needed to support site operations.
- Ensure fixed equipment assets are properly entered and maintained within the PCMS system, including inspection schedules, drawings, and documentation.
- Maintain electronic records for fixed equipment by organizing reports, inspection results, and technical documentation.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators related to fixed-equipment inspection programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- Approximately 2–3 years of experience in petrochemical, refining, or manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with destructive and non-destructive testing methods, welding practices, metallurgy basics, and industry standards such as API and ASME codes.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities with a self-driven work style.
- Experience with tools such as AutoCAD, PCMS, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access), and Windows-based systems is beneficial.
- Must be able to complete and pass a Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) as part of the job requirements.
