**** job description summary
** the jack driver operator is responsible for safely operating electric or manual pallet jacks to move, stage, and position materials, ingredients, and finished products throughout the plant. This position supports efficient product flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to tyson policies, food safety standards, and procedures in a fresh food manufacturing environment.
** key responsibilities
*** safely operate electric and/or manual pallet jacks to transport materials and products
* move raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods to designated areas
* stage pallets for production, storage, or shipping as directed
* verify product identification, quantities, and pallet condition prior to movement
* maintain continuous product flow to support production and shipping operations
* inspect pallet jacks before use and report equipment issues promptly
* maintain clear and safe travel paths in production, warehouse, and dock areas
* follow traffic patterns, pedestrian safety rules, and right-of-way procedures
* assist with general material handling and warehouse tasks as needed
* complete required documentation or system entries accurately
* maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
* follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements
* comply with osha regulations and tyson safety policies
* perform other duties as assigned
