** Responsibilities*
* + Provide research assistance to execute a monitoring plan for documenting the effects of river reintroduction into the Maurepas Swamp, Louisiana.

+ Provide field, laboratory, and data analysis support for monitoring studies focused on swamp physicochemical, hydrologic, and vegetation responses to a river diversion designed to enhance natural processes to benefit community resources (e.g., water quality, nutrient reduction, swamp health, etc.).

+ Major tasks include: extensive field data collection; laboratory analytical soil and water testing, documenting changes in nutrient cycling before, during, and following diversion operation, and assistance with data interpretation and annual report writing.

+ To address each of these research tasks, the Scientist will conduct repeated field surveys, collect and evaluate samples from the field, and report detailed findings.
