Shall include, but are not limited to the following:

• Support work related to the implementation of the VCS MTSS Plan, as needed
• Analyze and share PK-8 progress monitoring data, benchmark data, and NYS assessment data
• Facilitate the transition of students entering and exiting intervention during the Data Days process
• Meet monthly with Director of pK-6 & Director of 7-12 Instruction
• Serve on district committees aligned to the teacher leader assignment
• Participate in ELA intervention pilots
• Gather information related to the ELA AIS department needs
• Plan for, facilitate, and present pertinent information at monthly AIS department meetings
• Serve as a consultant to the teachers in their respective building or department
• Attend training as deemed appropriate by the administration
• Conduct workshops, demonstrations, or in-service training for teachers as needed
• Coordinate and document monthly department/PLC meetings, including the annual PLC Goal Setting process
• Participate in planning ELA special events
• Provide input into staff development programs and conference day planning
• Assist in the development of curriculum as needed
• Contribute to the hiring process by serving on designated interview committees.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all student, family, and staff information
• Fulfill general teacher leader responsibilities, as assigned

As per the contract between Victor Central Schools and the Victor Teachers' Association

The pK-8 ELA Teacher Leader position is a ten-month position. The terms established are in accordance with the contract between Victor Central Schools and the Victor Teachers' Association.

Performance in this position will be evaluated annually by district administration.
