Process Operator Plant

Job Description

The Process Operator Plant 1 will safely and efficiently operate the leaching circuits and systems in support of process operations. The operator must comply with State and Federal safety and environmental regulations and SSR Mining policies and procedures.

• Perform all Tech 1 duties proficiently.
• Assist plant operators in basic plant operations.
• Recognize equipment or systems operating outside normal ranges.
• Operate only equipment or systems for which training has been provided.
• Perform all pre‑shift, pre‑op and workplace inspections as required.
• Communicate all pertinent information during shift as required.
• Follow good housekeeping practices.
• Complete all necessary paperwork promptly.

• 0–1 years of previous plant operations or equivalent experience.
• Experience in chemical handling (preferred).
• Experience with HMI, PLC, or other control systems (preferred).
• Mobile equipment experience (preferred).
• Must be trained and pass the circuit test for Process Operations H-5 Circuit plus one additional circuit within 60 days of hire date.
• Equivalent experience considered for external candidates.

Mine site located at elevations ranging from approximately 9,400 ft. to 10,600 ft. above sea level. Workers are routinely exposed to varying weather conditions, which can become severe. Ability to complete work tasks while exposed to weather conditions/elevation is required. Arrive at work site with appropriate gear suitable for weather conditions. Must be a productive team member. For applicants residing in CO, hourly range: $33.18/hr to $46.59/hr.
