Food Service Specialist
- Seasonal

Our Food Service Specialist is focused on preparing our delicious Pete’s Eats within our retail store locations. We’re looking for someone that loves making food as much as we love eating it! They focus on maintaining the high standards of our food program, which we pride ourselves on being so much more than the ‘gas station burrito’. Focused on quality ingredients, this role creates food using the production lists of the store to ensure our customers always have something delicious to choose from when they visit.

This role is a seasonal position, offering up to 5 months of employment (may vary based on location needs).

  • Competitive Pay with merit-based raises.
  • Extra $0.50/hour paid to all team members working from 10 pm-6 am.
  • Access to the Daily Pay app – so you can access your hard- earned cash whenever life strikes, in advance of regular paydays.
  • 6 paid holidays a year, and if you do work on a holiday, you get time and a half as a thank you!
  • Referral Rewards – you can earn cash by referring friends to join the Stinker team, if your friend gets hired! Your friends get a great job, and you get a sweet reward!
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to help you with life’s challenges—whether it’s managing stress, tackling financial issues, or navigating legal questions, the EAP provides support.
  • Great discounts for employees.
What You’ll Do
  • Roll up your sleeves and dive into the (wildly busy) summer season, offering extra support to keep our Stinker Store teams sane and ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide sensational customer service by creating a welcoming environment.
  • Prioritize food safety by adhering to proper food preparation guidelines, monitoring food time/temperature standards and following required label and time processes—no skunky business, just proper storage and handling.
  • Be a clean freak, in a good way! Ensure that all equipment cleaning and sanitation schedules are being adhered to and tracked.
  • Make food, obviously. You’ll learn the full Pete’s Eats menu and work with Store Leadership to ensure the store offerings match what customers are buying using store production lists.
  • Ensure proper rotation of product through the cold case and hot case.
What You’ll Need
  • Solution focused thinking – You get 5 minutes to complain, and then we solve problems and kick tail!
  • Effective time management. In the retail environment, one minute it’s slow, then the next there’s a bus full of customers hungry for food. We need someone who will rise to the occasion and go with the flow.
  • Prior food service experience is a plus.
  • Ability to learn new concepts and stay organized, maintaining a high level of attention to detail while multitasking (there are a lot of moving pieces and skunks headed in every direction!).
Requirements
  • Must be at least 19 years of age or older.
  • HS Diploma or GED preferred.
  • You don’t need to be an Olympic athlete, but you do need to be able to balance on a step stool or step ladder, lift up to 50 lbs., and work from floor to eye level.
  • Able to work in a cooler at an average temperature of 32 degrees.
  • Completion of our online Food Safety class within the first 90 days of employment.

Stinker is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We E-Verify through ADP.
