Reporting directly to the President and engaging regularly with the Board, the Director / VP Finance is this organization’s senior financial leader.
This full‑time, in‑office role is based in Victoria, BC. The successful candidate will lead a finance team of four to six professionals across diversified consumer packaged goods manufacturing operations and serve as both a strategic advisor and hands‑on manager.

Key Responsibilities   Board reporting and KPI’s, financial and regulatory reporting oversight, and a best‑in‑class controls framework.
Build and maintain a cost accounting framework providing management with clear gross margin visibility at all levels.
Lead the annual budget process, develop forecasting and provide recommendations to the leadership team, and model and support potential acquisition targets.
Oversee cash flow forecasting, working‑capital management, tax compliance, and manage the external audit process.
Coach and mentor the finance team with a lens of continuous improvement, including reviewing systems and processes to reduce manual effort and drive efficiencies.
Qualifications   Canadian CPA designation is required with 8+ years of progressive finance experience and a minimum of 3+ years in a senior finance leadership role.
Background in manufacturing, food & beverage, consumer packaged goods, or a multi‑product business strongly preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in cost accounting, SKU/product‑level profitability, and COGM analysis.
Proven track record in Board‑level reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
Operations experience.
Strong communicator who can translate complex financials into clarity and action for non‑financial stakeholders.
Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with functions and tools for managing large data sets.
Exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail and an obsession with producing error‑free work.
Proactive problem solver with solid critical thinking skills, adept at multi‑tasking.
