Help create a welcoming atmosphere at The Mustard Seed Street Church as a Hospitality Team Member in Greater Victoria. This role is dedicated to building meaningful relationships while ensuring safety in community operations.
As a Hospitality Team Member, you will be vital in frontline services, offering meal provisions and supporting diverse community programs. You'll engage with visitors compassionately, ensuring their dignity and well-being while also maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build trust-based relationships with guests and volunteers
• Assist in meal service and operational cleanliness
• Respond effectively to emergencies or conflicts
• Support community programs, promoting participation and engagement
• Lead by example in maintaining safety and professionalism
Requirements:
• Experience working with individuals facing complex social challenges
• Willingness to obtain de-escalation and First Aid training
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Proven problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations
• Physical capacity to meet job demands
