Shape the future of North Saanich as the Manager of Planning. This full-time role focuses on innovative community planning and development guidance.

The District of North Saanich seeks a dedicated Manager of Planning to oversee daily operations within the Planning division. Reporting to the Director of Planning, you will provide strategic advice and support to Council, staff, and stakeholders on various development processes. Key responsibilities include coordinating planners and ensuring effective communication across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide planning and development processes for Council and stakeholders

• Administer major policy documents like the Official Community Plan

• Serve as a liaison at Advisory Planning Committee meetings

• Advise on zoning and climate action strategies

• Foster relationships across departments and jurisdictions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in planning or related field

• Minimum seven years of planning experience

• Supervisory or management experience in local government

• Eligible for Canadian Institute of Planners membership

• Valid B.C. driver’s license (Class
5)

Lead innovative planning efforts in North Saanich and influence community development.
