We are currently looking for highly motivated and customer-focused individuals for the positions of Forklift Operator – Order Builder. The Forklift Operator – Order Builder prepares customer orders for delivery with the safe operation of a lift truck. Together with other team members, the Forklift Operator works to exceed customer expectations. The shifts are Monday – Friday 6:30am – 3pm and the wage range is $21.50 - $26 per hour (Tier 1: $21.50 - $23.75, Tier 2: $23.75 - $26).
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily inspections of lift trucks and complete required forms.
- Ensure lift truck maintenance and servicing requirements are met.
- Build orders to required specifications for delivery.
- Load and unload building materials in a safe and efficient manner.
- Check load contents for accuracy and secure materials.
- Ensure that all products are shipped on schedule and according to specific instructions by management to meet customer demands.
- Maintain contact with supervisors and work to resolve issues as they arise.
- Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers.
- Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Valid forklift certification (propane).
- Minimum of two years' experience.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics.
- Basic hand tool skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Sitting and driving for long periods of time.
- Frequently climbing up and down stairs.
- Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight.
