Fire Alarm Technician

Become a Fire Alarm Technician with Viking in Victoria, earning between $30 and $46 per hour. This position emphasizes inspecting and servicing fire alarm systems, ensuring safety and reliability.

As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will report to the Operations Manager while performing essential duties, such as conducting system inspections, installing and repairing fire alarm systems, and generating important service reports. You will be expected to provide excellent customer service, demonstrate strong technical skills with a focus on health and safety, and work both independently and in collaboration with a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete annual or system inspections for fire alarms

• Install, verify, and repair fire alarm systems

• Perform system readings and functional checks

• Prepare clear service reports and maintain site records

• Respond efficiently to service calls on an 8-week rotation

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician

• Marine experience and CFAA/ASTT certification required

• Strong customer service skills

• Valid driver’s license needed

• Ability to obtain security clearance for Defence work
