Position: Mechanic Role with BC Transit
Take on the role of Mechanic at BC Transit in Victoria, BC, and support our mission to provide sustainable transport solutions. This full-time position involves a range of mechanical repairs and maintenance.

BC Transit seeks skilled Mechanics to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will maintain and repair our transit fleet, focusing on key systems such as hydraulics and electrical components. The job offers a structured work schedule of four days a week, allowing for greater personal time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and maintain various mechanical systems on buses

• Repair and test brake and fuel systems effectively

• Identify parts needed and complete repairs on-site

• Maintain accurate records of work performed

• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards

Requirements:

• Preferred qualifications include Truck and Transport Mechanic Certification

• Must hold a valid Class 5 Drivers License;
Class 2 or 3 preferred

• CVIP inspector certification is required

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and repairs

• Ability to pass a medical evaluation and background check
