In this role, you will be a key contributor to our Service Department, helping maintain a high standard of quality and reliability. You will build strong customer relationships while ensuring commercial vehicles are serviced, repaired, and operating safely and efficiently. Your technical skills and commitment to excellence will play an important role in supporting transportation operations across Vancouver Island.
Location:Sidney, BC Schedule (4 x 10-hour shifts):
Wednesday to Saturday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Sunday to Wednesday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Compensation- Hourly wages starting at $55/hr

- Diagnose and analyze complex mechanical and electrical issues, identifying root causes and recommending effective repair solutions.
- Perform major repairs and maintenance on key vehicle systems, including brakes, suspension, driveline components, transmissions, engines, emissions equipment, and electrical systems, while meeting manufacturer and industry standards.
- Complete CVSE inspections, preventative maintenance services, pre-delivery inspections, and annual inspections to ensure vehicles remain safe, compliant, and road-ready.
- Respond to roadside and on-site service calls, delivering timely technical expertise and repair solutions when and where they are needed.
- Work closely with manufacturer technical support teams to resolve challenging diagnostic issues and expand technical knowledge.
- Conduct road tests to verify repairs, optimize vehicle performance, and maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
- Provide guidance and technical support to customers and team members while participating in manufacturer training programs to stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.
- Maintain detailed service documentation, including repair records and warranty‑related information, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Red Seal in Commercial Transport or Heavy Equipment with 2+ years of hands‑on experience.
- Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.
- Proficient in using computerized diagnostic tools, technical documentation, and digital systems to troubleshoot issues and complete accurate service records.
- Skilled at balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while delivering timely, adaptable, and customer-focused service.
- Strong knowledge of provincial CVSE requirements and federal motor vehicle regulations, with a commitment to maintaining safety, compliance, and industry standards.
- Valid Class 1, 2, or 3 Driver's License
- Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) License
- Cummins Certifications
- Hino Certification
- First Aid Certification
