About the Role
We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Specialist Sales Representative to join our ANZ Commercial team, covering Victoria. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmaceutical sales professional who thrives within the hospital and specialist care environment. You’ll be responsible for driving territory growth by building strategic partnerships with healthcare professionals, hospitals, key decision-makers, and formulary committees, while increasing access to and uptake of Pharmanovia’s specialist portfolio.
Working closely with cross-functional colleagues, including Medical, Market Access, Marketing, and Commercial teams, you’ll play a critical role in delivering territory performance, generating customer insights, and supporting the successful execution of national brand strategies. This is a highly autonomous role offering the opportunity to make a significant commercial impact while representing a growing international pharmaceutical organisation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and exceed territory sales, market share and activity targets through strategic account planning and exceptional customer engagement.
- Develop and execute comprehensive territory business plans, aligned to national commercial objectives and brand strategies.
- Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with specialist physicians, hospital clinicians, pharmacists, nursing staff, procurement teams and key healthcare decision-makers.
- Drive formulary listings, product adoption and increased utilisation across both public and private hospitals.
- Identify new commercial opportunities within existing and prospective accounts to maximise territory growth.
- Develop tailored Key Account Plans for priority customers to drive long-term partnership development and sustainable business growth.
- Influence clinical stakeholders by delivering high-quality scientific and product discussions supported by approved clinical evidence.
- Partner closely with Brand, Medical and Market Access teams to implement customer-focused initiatives that improve patient access and outcomes.
- Identify, develop and support Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and clinical advocates across the territory.
- Organise and support educational meetings, speaker programmes, hospital presentations and national congress activities to enhance customer engagement.
- Monitor competitor activity, market dynamics, and healthcare trends, and provide regular commercial insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, territory plans, and sales activity reports to ensure high-quality customer data and accurate reporting.
- Effectively manage territory budgets and promotional resources to ensure maximum return on investment.
- Represent Pharmanovia professionally, ensuring full compliance with Medicines Australia Code of Conduct and all company policies.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve shared business objectives.
- Continuously develop product, therapy area and healthcare system knowledge to become a trusted scientific and commercial partner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, Marketing or a related discipline.
