VEA Health is seeking a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join a growing emergency department at DeTar Hospital North in Victoria, Texas. This opportunity offers a manageable patient volume, a broad age mix, and the support of an established care environment.

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Emergency Medicine, or
• Board-Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with Emergency Department experience
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• ATLS certification required (unless Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine)

• 115-bed acute care hospital
• 7 Emergency Department beds
• Level IV Trauma Center

• Annual ED visits: 16,000
• Average daily visits: 43
• Pediatric patient volume: 56%
• Admission rate: 3%
• Transfer rate: 2%
• Average physician productivity: 1.8 patients per hour

• Physician Shifts:
• 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Advanced Practice Provider (APP) coverage available during high-volume seasons

• Broad patient age mix
• Established emergency care team
• Low admission and transfer rates

• EMR: Med Host
• Patient Satisfaction: Performance measured through patient satisfaction score reporting and accountability
