Job Description

Department of Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences at Texas A&M University – Victoria is hiring for a tenure‑track position to join the faculty at the Assistant Professor level. The academic specialty is open, and successful candidates will contribute to the general needs of the Psychology program at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including Introduction to Psychology and specialized classes compatible with the teaching and research interests of the candidate.

The position is a face‑to‑face role; the successful candidate will maintain a regular presence on campus and will teach four courses each semester (24 credits per academic year).

Responsibilities

Faculty members will:
- Teach four courses each semester;
- Contribute to the Psychology program’s needs at both undergraduate and graduate levels;
- Incorporate specialized instruction aligned with their teaching and research expertise;
- Maintain a regular campus presence in a face‑to‑face teaching environment.

Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD or PsyD in psychology or ABD.
  • Preference to those with prior experience teaching counseling or forensic graduate courses, or licensed clinical experience.
