We are seeking a passionate and experienced clinician to join our team as an FSEP Clinical Educator. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality education, training and assessment while supporting the ongoing growth and development of the Fetal Surveillance Education Program (FSEP). Working both independently and collaboratively, you will deliver engaging, standardised education to multidisciplinary clinical audiences across Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region, primarily through face‑to‑face sessions.
This may include regional, interstate, and international travel, usually of two – three days duration. This is typically scheduled well in advance of the education sessions.
This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clinical practice and patient outcomes in women’s health.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high‑quality, standardised FSEP education and assessment to multidisciplinary clinical groups
- Liaise with the Program Head to ensure the clinical relevance of the FSEP to current research and practice
- Provide risk management back‑up support for delivery of the education program
- Maintain and revise the suite of FSEP educational resources, in conjunction with the Program Head and FSEP team
- Adjust delivery of the standardised education to meet the learning needs of each audience, as well as the risk management requirements of the institutions
Key selection criteria:
- Highly developed verbal communication skills and public speaking ability for lengthy presentations
- Demonstrated high‑level interpersonal skills and ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, groups, and individuals
- Demonstrated time‑management skills with ability to meet deadlines, set priorities and operate both independently and within a team environment
- Confidence and ability to operate independently while travelling and delivering education
- Interest in education and the value of multidisciplinary adult learning
- Previous experience in delivery of education preferred but not essential
- Credibility and an in‑depth understanding of the material presented, and the professions catered to
- Flexibility to accommodate travel and session times at a variety of locations
- Valid car driver’s licence and passport to travel
Qualifications:
- Qualification and high‑level clinical experience in midwifery, or an appropriate discipline
- High‑level birth suite and/or maternal fetal medicine experience
- Interest in, and/or working toward an educational qualification
