Government Instructor

Position Overview

The Social Sciences Department is recruiting for a full‑time, nine‑month, tenure‑track Government Instructor position available August 2026. This position may teach dual credit Government on high‑school campuses as part of the teaching load. We are looking for an engaging team player comfortable with traditional, interactive television, and online/hybrid assignments. Class size is usually limited to 30‑35 students. A successful candidate will compassionately commit to rigor and retention through campus partnerships at the departmental, divisional, and institutional levels.

Committee work and other duties will be assigned by the department chair or dean. Teaching assignment may include evening classes.

The minimum earned monthly salary range for teaching nine months is $5,453.00 to $6,143.00. The annual salary is calculated by using the earned monthly x 9 months and paid over twelve months to determine the paid monthly.

• A Master's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Government.
