Primary PurposeProvide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver curriculum and instruction consistent with state standards; create a classroom environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth; support students in developing critical thinking and independent learning skills; collaborate with colleagues and staff to promote student success; maintain accurate and timely documentation and assessments.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
- Letter of Acceptance from Educator Prep Program and Ability to Obtain Intern Certification Within One Year for Subject and Level Assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Capitalize students' interests to engage them and encourage independent learning
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of subjects assigned
- Use information about individual students to make learning more meaningful and relevant
- Bachelor degree preferred
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
