Job Title

CTE/STEM Instructional Aide

Provide direct instructional support to students in Kindergarten through 5th grade by delivering pre‑planned Career and Technical Education (CTE) and STEM lessons developed by the campus instructional coach. The CTE/STEM Instructional Aide will facilitate engaging, hands‑on learning experiences that promote STEM fluency skills, including communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and resilience. The aide will maintain effective classroom management and create a positive learning environment that supports student success.

Education/

Certifications:

• High School diploma or GED required
• Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Associate degree or higher preferred
• Meets ESSA requirements

Experience:

• Experience working with elementary‑aged children preferred
• Experience supporting instructional programs or STEM‑related activities preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of STEM education and STEM fluency skills
• Ability to effectively manage student behavior in a classroom setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to deliver lessons to large and small groups of students
• Ability to engage students through hands‑on, inquiry‑based learning experiences
• Basic technology skills and ability to utilize instructional technology

• Pay Scale: Paraprofessional/Clerical 2
