This is a full-time, on-site Business Teacher role based at Bloomington High School in Victoria, TX. The Business Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons in business and related subjects such as economics, accounting fundamentals, and career readiness. Responsibilities include developing standards-aligned lesson plans, preparing instructional materials, and assessing student learning through assignments, projects, and exams. The role involves maintaining accurate grades and records, providing timely feedback, and offering extra support to students as needed.
The Business Teacher will collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, communicate regularly with families or guardians, and support school-wide initiatives, events, and student organizations related to business and career pathways.
- Strong foundation in Business and Economics, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and connect them to real-world applications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Education and Lesson Planning, including designing standards-based, inclusive, and engaging classroom activities.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with students, families, and colleagues.
- Valid teaching certification (or eligibility for certification) in Business Education or a related field, as required by Texas state regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Economics, or a closely related discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience teaching at the secondary level or working with adolescents in an educational setting is preferred.
- Ability to integrate technology into instruction, including learning management systems and common classroom software tools.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful classroom environment that supports diverse learners and backgrounds.
