CTE/STEM Instructional Aide
Provide direct instructional support to students in Kindergarten through 5th grade by delivering pre-planned Career and Technical Education (CTE) and STEM lessons developed by the campus instructional coach. The CTE/STEM Instructional Aide will facilitate engaging, hands-on learning experiences that promote STEM fluency skills, including communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and resilience. The aide will maintain effective classroom management and create a positive learning environment that supports student success.
Education/
Certifications:
High School diploma or GED required
Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Associate degree or higher preferred
Meets ESSA requirements
Experience:
Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
Experience supporting instructional programs or STEM-related activities preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of STEM education and STEM fluency skills
Ability to effectively manage student behavior in a classroom setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to deliver lessons to large and small groups of students
Ability to engage students through hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences
Basic technology skills and ability to utilize instructional technology
