Lead Teacher – Special Education / Therapeutic School
Location: Victoria, TX
Job Type: Full-time
We are a therapeutic private school serving students with autism, dyslexia, and other language-based learning differences. We are seeking a Lead Teacher who is passionate about helping neurodiverse learners succeed through structured, individualized, and research-based instruction.
This role leads a small classroom environment focused on academic growth, communication, and independence using consistent routines, data-driven instruction, and collaborative support services.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver differentiated instruction aligned with student learning goals.
- Maintain a structured, predictable classroom environment.
- Track student progress using data to guide instruction and interventions.
- Collaborate with SLP, OT, behavior specialists, and support staff.
- Implement positive behavior supports and social-emotional learning strategies.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- Teaching experience preferred (special education or small-group instruction strongly preferred).
- Strong classroom management and instructional planning skills.
- Commitment to working with students with diverse learning needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Autism or special education classrooms.
- Therapeutic or private school settings.
- Small class sizes and individualized instruction.
