About the Role

We are a therapeutic private school serving students with autism, dyslexia, and other language-based learning differences. We are seeking a Lead Teacher who is passionate about helping neurodiverse learners succeed through structured, individualized, and research-based instruction.

This role leads a small classroom environment focused on academic growth, communication, and independence using consistent routines, data-driven instruction, and collaborative support services.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver differentiated instruction aligned with student learning goals.
  • Maintain a structured, predictable classroom environment.
  • Track student progress using data to guide instruction and interventions.
  • Collaborate with SLP, OT, behavior specialists, and support staff.
  • Implement positive behavior supports and social-emotional learning strategies.
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
  • Teaching experience preferred (special education or small-group instruction strongly preferred).
  • Strong classroom management and instructional planning skills.
  • Commitment to working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Autism or special education classrooms.
  • Therapeutic or private school settings.
