Budget Specialist

Job Description

The Budget Specialist I, under supervision, performs routine budget preparation and analysis work.

• Prepares journal and budget entries. Collects, analyzes, and reports data
• Provides advice and assistance concerning budget and funding procedures and methods
• Assists in the monitoring, processing and tracking requests
• Assists in reviewing, evaluating, and preparing request for funds
• Assists in the preparation of annual operating budget
• Assists in the preparation of legislative appropriations requests, fiscal notes, and analysis of legislation
• Conducts training

• Bachelors degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Starting salary for this position is $3333.34 monthly and is negotiable depending on education and experience.
