The Admissions Recruiter works to increase the population of admitted and enrolled students through outreach, recruitment, and advising high school and transfer college students. The role involves travel, counseling, event coordination, and collaboration with school counselors and university stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Identify, recruit, and contribute to the increase of admitted and enrolled students.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment plans for assigned area(s) and schools.
- Coordinate with high‑school counselors to facilitate the application process.
- Track and follow up with targeted students and parents.
- Advise prospective students about admissions status, policies, and degree programs.
- Build working relationships with Texas A&M University members, departments, counselors, and advisors to enhance customer service and satisfaction; disseminate admissions information.
- Conduct on‑ and off‑campus recruitment events and maintain related records.
- Resolve extenuating circumstances, complaints, and appeals of admissions denials with applicants and parents.
- Complete reports on programs and projects.
- Propose, organize, plan, and coordinate events (accommodations, itineraries, meals, speakers, and records).
- Coordinate major office programs and serve on office committees.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Travel locally to provide counseling and guidance as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum one year of related experience.
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Knowledge of admissions functions in higher education.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

SalaryStarting salary: $3,657.33 per month, negotiable based on education and experience.
