Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Responsible for assisting in the operation of the golf course maintenance department.

Responsibilities include:

turf grass/plant material maintenance programs, property/asset management, personnel management, financial management. Member/customer relations, scheduling/maintenance of irrigation systems, pesticide applications, related recordings, and compliance of regulatory issues.

• Assist golf course superintendent in providing agronomic direction for the healthy growth of the golf course grasses, trees, wetlands and other plant materials.
• Supervise the application and recording of chemical applications on the club grounds in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
• Be directly involved in personnel management and crew/job
• Supervise the safe use and maintenance of the golf course mechanical equipment. Plan and help budget for additional or replacement capital equipment.
• Ensure staff is working within OSHA, club safety, state and federal guidelines for safe working conditions. Provide technical, operational and safety training for employees.
