Facilities Manager
Directs physical plant operations and facilities services.
Directs department operations; provides leadership to departmental staff and supervises assistant director and administrative staff.
Develops and manages departmental budgets, which include deferred maintenance, capital renewal, renovations, and utilities.
Oversees renovations and construction $1 million or under, or due to an emergency.
Conducts cost analyses and directs the procurement of renovation services.
Maintains contract agreements, including custodial services outsourcing contracts.
Coordinates communications and preparation of the specifications of new construction and renovations between Facilities Services and System Facilities Planning & Construction.
Serves on the Facilities Space Planning Committee and Emergency Management Team.
Assesses department services effectiveness; develops department goals and objectives.
Provides short- and long-range planning of facilities services and cost analysis reports.
Develops policies and procedures related to facilities services.
Serves as property manager; oversees the property inventory.
Performs other job-related duties as required.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management or related field and (7) years related experience.
