Third Coast Distributing was founded in 2013 and is part of a global service organizationengaged in the distribution of automotive and industrial replacementparts.
Doing business as NAPA Auto Parts, TCD serves thousands of customers from an independent network across South and Central Texas.
The District Manager is responsible for the financial performance,people leadership, operational excellence, and overall success of multiplestore locations within a 100-mile radius of Victoria, Texas. This role drives storeperformance by coaching and developing Store Managers, establishing goals,supporting problem-solving and process improvement initiatives, settingoperational standards, and recognizing outstanding performance.
The district is typically comprised of 9
-12stores in a geographic area. The District Manager is expected to live within 40 miles of the midpoint of their area, and preferably within their area. Position reports directly to the VP of Operations.
- Drivetotal district sales, understand your role in sales growth and how your storesand team contribute to and impacts total district profitability.
- Develop,plan and administer sales performance enhancing metrics, monitor resultsagainst plan, and enhance results throughadjustments to business plan.
- Buildand coach store teams to consistently deliver high levels of customer service and business results.
- Establisha culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management (listen, observe, recognize and coach) on critical Service and Engagement behaviors.
- Developleads for new accounts, calling on key decision makers to present thevalue proposition of NAPA.
- ConductP&L reviews with company store managers. Assess performance and develop a planof action as needed.
- Anticipatestaffing needs, district talent plan and recruit – both long and shortterm.
- Partner with HR in the areas of hiring, development, coaching, and termination.
- Accountable for the on-boarding, coaching and training of all direct reports.
- Overseecontrollable expenses, review work schedules, and monitor labor reports.
- Ensure that proper processes and procedures are utilized to minimize inventoryshrinkage.
- Understand,interpret, and comply with all Company policies.
- Maintainunwavering execution of safety, health and security standards for allstores.
- Ensureoverall cleanliness of the stores, stockrooms, and outside areas.
- Theideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- High School Degree or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- 4 +years’ experience in the automotive after-market service industry;multi-unit retail store management experience preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of cataloging and/or inventory management systems.
- Strongsupervisory, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- Relatewell with and interact with all levels of the organization.
- Learnand adapt to current technology needs.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
- Manageworkload and prioritize tasks independently and with a team.
- Experience working cross functionally and gaining consensus to make informeddecisions and recommendations.
- >50% travel – approximately two or more days per week between locations byvehicle on behalf of the company; must possess and maintain a current,valid driver’s license.
- Scan,handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting ormoving merchandise up to 60 pounds.
