Job Description - Loader Operator - Overnight Shift (260001DR)

Vulcan Materials Company is the nation’s largest producer of construction aggregates. This role is an overnight shift loader operator responsible for loading aggregates for plant processing and delivering products to customers.

• Champion Safety:
  Prioritize safety in all operations and report unsafe conditions.
• Operate Mobile Equipment Loaders:
  Load aggregates for processing, feed the plant, and load customer trucks within legal limits.
• Monitor Materials:
  Maintain adequate feed, visualize inspections for compliance.
• Perform Inspections and Maintenance:
  Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, complete daily mobile equipment reports, observe the plant, and report required maintenance.
• Monitor Processes:
  Observe plant operations and report any necessary maintenance or adjustments for safety.

• Experience:
  
  2 years operating loaders and dozers in a plant environment preferred.
• Functional and Safety Knowledge:
  Understanding of equipment capabilities, OSHA/MSHA rules, hazard recognition.
• Flexibility:
  Willingness to work overtime, extended hours, and tolerate extreme weather and noise.
• Driver’s License:
  Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
