Surgical Services Educator (PT)
Assesses and plans for the continuing education needs and requirements of the operating room staff. Evaluates personnel for completions of orientation components. Assists with the planning, coordination, and evaluation of peri-operative patient care. Applies age-specific needs in the assessment, treatment, and/or care of patients. Prepares departmental documents and reports as assigned.

Required:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
EXPERIENCE
Required:
At least two (2) years of previous operating room experience
Preferred:
Some supervisory / management experience; quality management experience

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Required:
Establishes priorities and makes independent decisions of a complex nature. Basic computer skills in Microsoft office.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Required:
Currently registered with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners, Basic Life Support Certification
