Part Time - CDL Delivery Driver

Essential Functions

• Provide SMART customer service by executing Lowe's policies, procedures and programs.
• Seek out customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating and selecting merchandise.
• Listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions, walking them through projects when necessary.
• Show sincere appreciation to customers.
• Communicate information regarding stock, special orders, feature benefits, applications and warranties associated with Lowe’s programs.
• Contact customers regarding delivery or coordinate with the truck driver to call the customer.

• Plan delivery activities, print loading tickets, and deliver merchandise on schedule to ensure on‑time orders.
• Pull, build, band delivery loads, and load trucks within payload limits according to delivery order.
• Inspect condition of products before loading for delivery or assist customers with loading.
• Match items on invoice with quantities loaded by verifying descriptions, items and model numbers.

• Ensure loads are safe, secure and compliant with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). delivery and route status on system devices for tracking.
• Unload, install and test appliances upon delivery.
• Verify daily vehicle inspections, report and maintain cleanliness, maintenance and repairs for delivery vehicles and equipment.
• Complete DOT reporting to maintain DOT certification and CDL compliance.
• Detect signs of shoplifting, theft or other security risks and communicate promptly to management or Asset Protection.
• Maintain compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery) to keep store and working areas organized.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment by conducting safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear and securing doors and gates.
• Adhere to all relevant safety requirements for the role, such as top stock safety, safety cables, aisle blockers, tether lines for power equipment, spotters and safety devices.
• Operate store equipment as required—Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV, key cutter, panel saw, paint mixer, flooring cutters, compacter baler.
• Accept additional duties as assigned.

• Class A CDL License (for multi‑unit CMV) or Class B CDL License with air‑break endorsement (for single‑unit CMV).
• Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment.
• Pass MVR screening in accordance with company requirements.
• Ability to obtain any required sales‑related licensure or registration.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Compliance with DOT and CDL regulations.

• 1 year experience driving a semi‑truck/trailer or certification from a driving school.
• 6 months experience performing in‑home delivery or retail customer service.
• 3 months experience operating a forklift or performing load/unload on a vehicle.
