Applicants must have a valid driver’s license. A Motor Vehicle Report may be required from the state of license issuance if that state does not provide MVRs to third parties.

In Texas, a driver must obtain a Texas driver’s license within 90 days of becoming a resident.

The selected driver will transport goods safely and timely to designated destinations, working both as part of a team and independently. The role requires maintaining a clean vehicle and driving record, and following all applicable safety regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Know and actively demonstrate the Company Mission Statement and Core Values daily.
  • Maintain a uniform standard as detailed in the Employee Manual for all worked hours.
  • Keep a clear driving record.
  • Observe safe driving practices and speeds.
  • Keep the vehicle neat and orderly.
  • Move supplies and equipment as needed to ensure efficient storage space in the delivery vehicle.
  • Receive and verify contents of all shipments to be delivered.
  • Make notes on invoices indicating variances and damaged products during store deliveries.
  • Return damaged products, including TABC tax stamps.
  • Maintain a driver route sheet after every stop.
  • Ensure compliance with standardized filing system for store‑to‑store transfer paperwork and pick‑ups.
  • Assist in unloading when location needs arise.
  • Receive payment for deliveries and verify amounts accurately.
  • Inform the manager of inventory issues or invoice discrepancies discovered on route.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding issues with delivery vans and box trucks.
  • Carry out directives of management efficiently.
  • Carry out responsibilities with care and attention to detail.
  • Practice teamwork and cooperation with others.
  • Create and maintain strong professional relationships with customers.
  • Provide superb customer service.
  • Possess time‑management skills and be able to prioritize tasks.
  • Manage stress in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Work in accordance with all safety regulations of Specs Family Partners and OSHA.
  • Communicate and understand team members and guests, including reviewing invoices, product, payment methods, and signage.
  • Use industrial machines to move full pallets that weigh up to 2400 pounds.
  • Perform other projects or job duties assigned by management.
  • Attendance and timeliness are required; this is not a remote position.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications
  • Valid Class C driver’s license; a Texas driver’s license is required.
  • At least 1‑2 years of driving experience; a high school diploma or GED preferred but experience may substitute.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding simple instructions and memos.
  • Effective verbal communication with coworkers and guests; bilingual is a plus.
  • Basic mathematical skills – ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in whole numbers, fractions, and decimals without calculator.
  • Responsible, reliable, committed to excellent service; patience, friendliness, and an outgoing personality.
  • Self‑starter with strong work ethic; completes assignments promptly and seeks additional tasks.
  • Availability for any shift on Friday or Saturday and at least 80% of all weekly shifts.
  • Ability to apply common sense and follow written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to operate delivery vehicles in various weather and traffic conditions; function in non‑climate‑controlled warehouse and outer elements.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills; use pallet jack, carts, and dollies; lift, carry, and climb ladders; handle heavy merchandise in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Flexibility in schedule; ability to dolly, push, pull, and lift merchandise over 100 lbs.
Physical Demands

Standing, walking, bending; hand use and finger handling; reaching; climbing; balance; talking and hearing. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with proper tools. Use of industrial machine to move pallets up to 2400 pounds. Vision: close, distance, depth perception, focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Drive in all weather conditions; noise level moderate to loud.

Hours

Full Time: typically 40 hours per week, with required availability for Friday or Saturday shifts and at least 80% of weekly shifts. Part Time: up to 25 hours per week.
