Job Summary
Receives inbound parts and materials for inventory purposes. Completes inbound inspection and paperwork to ensure all materials ordered meet the order description and PO. Maintains, properly identifies, and stocks inventory parts in the proper areas; completes requisitions in order for materials to be purchased. Delivers parts and materials to work areas.
Responsibilities- Is safety minded and complies with all safety regulations, rules, policies and procedures at all times. Reports potentially unsafe conditions.
- Counts material, equipment, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records.
- Unloads all materials from trucks, inventory materials and delivers materials to proper department.
- Upon receiving materials completes a thorough inspection and required paperwork to ensure the part meets all requirements as ordered and matches the PO.
- Pulls all materials needed for car repair, and delivers to cars.
- Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintains general housekeeping at all times in shipping & receiving area.
- Prepares list of depleted items in order to replenish stock and inventory.
- Surveys defective or unusable items and informs QA for further investigation.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of the organization.
- Ability to calculate basic math.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Basic use of computers such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
