You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations.

About the role:
The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) determines donor eligibility to donate plasma, manages donor adverse events, reviews laboratory test results, and notifies donors of unsuitable test results. The role works under the guidance of the Center Manager or Assistant Manager and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. The Specialist follows guidance from Bio Life Medical Affairs and provides center‑level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).
Howyou will contribute
- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of the Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues concerning donor safety and eligibility.
- Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees and manage employee incidents, determining further evaluation requirements per occupational health and EHS guidance.
- Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of pandemic threats within the local community.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Current license or certification in the state of assignment:
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). - Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Successful completion of FDA approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

CompensationU.S. Hourly Wage Range: $38.72 – $53.24. The actual hourly wage offered may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
