Registered Nurse Bilingual Medical Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage as outlined in standard operating procedures, including medical emergencies, standing orders, and transport to emergency care facilities.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation per occupational health/ER; refer to EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations of pandemic threats.

• High school diploma or equivalent; or graduate‑level nursing program with state requirements.
• Licensed or certified RN, NP, or PA in the state where responsibilities are assigned.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Successfully complete FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years clinical or hospital setting experience.

Hourly wage range $38.72–$53.24. Eligible for short‑term incentives, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, short‑term and long‑term disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, and well‑being benefits. Up to 80 hours sick time per calendar year and up to 120 hours paid vacation for new hires.
