Under the direction of the Area Manager, performs a variety of on-site services for Reliant managed units including, but not limited to, leasing assistance, customer service, rent collection, clean up common areas; walks property regularly, and reports issues to Manager as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provides office support at on-site management office; greets residents, prospective residents, and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Maintains in depth knowledge of all aspects of the community in order to interact with prospective residents to communicate the value, amenities, and overall experience of living in the community.
  • Shows apartments to prospective residents and actively works to secure lease agreements.
  • Responsible for leasing efforts to maintain high occupancy at the assigned community. Monitors the market conditions by conducting routine market surveys and providing information to Reliant management.
  • Monitors the application process by screening applicants and processing background reports. Prepares lease agreements and coordinates move-in. Effectively explains all lease and community policies to new and current residents. Conducts move-in inspections.
  • Communicates lease expirations and facilitates lease renewals.
  • Collects, processes, and deposits rent as assigned.
  • Coordinates maintenance requests and communicates issues to the maintenance team.
  • Maintains organized leasing, application, and resident records.
  • Provides courteous, respectful, honest, timely and professional service to all residents, visitors and other Reliant staff.
  • Clean up common areas including manager offices, community rooms, and laundry rooms. Pick up trash around the complex and dumpster areas. Reports to the maintenance team any large trash objects needing removal, and any liability related issues (such as trip hazards, sharp objects, etc.) around the property or concerning residents and their guests.
  • Walk property regularly to monitor overall appearance and reports issues to Manager as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Good communication skills with ability to interact positively with a diverse clientele.
  • Knowledge of general office practices.
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (if applicable)
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Valid CA Driver's license with ability to provide own transportation with acceptable driving record and auto insurance limits (if applicable)

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of clerical experience in an office setting with direct public contact preferred
  • Previous experience in leasing or property management highly preferred
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing and Property management laws a plus.
  • Must have intermediate skills on computer with great customer service skills.
  • Valid CA Drivers license with ability to provide own transportation with acceptable driving record and auto insurance limits.
Our compensation package:
  • Compensation: $17.00 to $20.00/hour

    D.O.E
