JOB SUMMARY The Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Technician I, is an entry-level aircraft maintenance professional responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, servicing, and repairs under the supervision of experienced technicians and inspectors. This position develops technical proficiency while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, approved technical data, and Company safety and quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Make required work order entries for discrepancies and corrective actions

Parts identification, read and interpret Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC)
Troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, service aircraft and engine systems to prepare aircraft for flight. Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures.

Use technical specifications, sketches, manuals, drawings, engineering instructions and FAA forms and publications to accomplish work assignment.

Maintains Company and FAA required records and inspection forms. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Plan and organize the sequence of your own work package in such a way as to promote safe, efficient operation and meet predetermined schedules in a timely manner.

Operate all types of information systems required to perform assigned tasks. Including but not limited to Company WEB based systems and Microsoft Office products.

Interpret and perform to the requirements of airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters and other approved/accepted data.

Apply applicable mathematical calculations to setup and use precision measuring tools, to measure gaps, heights, angles, hole diameters and depths.

Prepares and maintains documentation related to work activities in accordance with regulations and Company policies.

Other duties as assigned EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS Education & CertificationsFAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.

Graduation from an FAA-approved Aviation Maintenance Technician School (AMTS) preferred.

Experience0–2 years of aircraft maintenance experience preferred.

Military, MRO, airline, or aviation maintenance experience is a plus.

Qualifications Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to obtain airport driving privileges.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.

Tools RequirementA&P Technicians are required to provide and maintain a complete set of personal aircraft maintenance tools necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.

Personal tools must be maintained in good working condition and comply with Company Tool Control, Tool Accountability, and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Prevention requirements.

A&P Technicians are responsible for the security, maintenance, and replacement of their personal tools.

Specialized tooling, calibrated equipment, test equipment, and Company- controlled tooling required for specific maintenance tasks will be provided by the Company.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Knowledge

Basic knowledge of FAA regulations, including Parts 43, 65, and 145.General understanding of aircraft structures, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, landing gear, and engine/APU fundamentals.

Familiarity with maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, tool control, and safety procedures.

Skills Use hand tools, precision measuring devices, and maintenance support equipment.

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and component installations under supervision.

Read and interpret technical manuals and work instructions.

Complete maintenance documentation accurately.

Assist with basic troubleshooting activities.

Abilities Learn aircraft systems and maintenance procedures quickly.

Follow detailed instructions and technical documentation accurately.

Work safely in a fast-paced maintenance environment.

Maintain attention to detail and quality standards.

Work collaboratively with technicians, inspectors, and support personnel.

OTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to learn maintenance tracking systems such as Corridor.

Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.
