JOB SUMMARY The Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Technician II, is a fully qualified aircraft maintenance professional responsible for independently performing aircraft inspections, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and modifications in accordance with FAA regulations, approved technical data, MFR recommendations (ADs/SBs) and Company procedures. This position demonstrates a higher level of technical proficiency and serves as a resource to junior technicians while supporting operational, quality, and safety objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Independently perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.

Troubleshoot aircraft systems, components, and discrepancies.

Perform inspections, repairs, modifications, operational checks, and functional tests.

Remove, install, adjust, and service aircraft components and systems.

Read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, structural repair manuals, and engineering documentation.

Use technical specifications; AMMs, RSMs, CMMs, REOsComplete maintenance records, work orders, and regulatory documentation accurately.

Coordinate maintenance activities with Quality Control, Production, and other support departments.

Assist with training and mentoring Technician I employees.

Maintain tool control, FOD prevention, and workplace safety standards.

Follow Company policies, FAA regulations, OSHA requirements, and quality standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS Education & Certifications FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.

Graduation from an FAA-approved Aviation Maintenance Technician School (AMTS) preferred.

Experience2–5 years of aircraft maintenance experience preferred.

Prior MRO, airline, military, or aviation maintenance experience preferred.

Documented fleet specific formal training courses such as 40-hour General Familiarization courses or ATA 104 level 1, 2, 3, or 4 courses preferred.

Documented fleet specific engine run and taxi training and qualifications preferred.

Qualifications Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to obtain airport driving privileges.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.

Tools RequirementA&P Technicians are required to provide and maintain a complete set of personal aircraft maintenance tools necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.

Personal tools must be maintained in good working condition and comply with Company Tool Control, Tool Accountability, and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Prevention requirements.

A&P Technicians are responsible for the security, maintenance, and replacement of their personal tools.

Specialized tooling, calibrated equipment, test equipment, and Company-controlled tooling required for specific maintenance tasks will be provided by the Company.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Knowledge

Advanced knowledge of aircraft systems and troubleshooting methodologies.

Working knowledge of wiring diagrams, schematics, Structural Repair Manuals (SRM), Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), and Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC).Understanding of repair station procedures, quality systems, and maintenance planning processes.

Familiarity with airworthiness requirements, inspection programs, and return-to-service standards.

Skills Independently perform maintenance, inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting.

Conduct operational and functional checks.component replacements, and system adjustments.

Accurately complete maintenance records and regulatory documentation.

Mentor and provide guidance to junior technicians.

Coordinate effectively with Quality Control and Production teams.

Abilities Work independently with limited supervision.

Diagnose mechanical and electrical discrepancies efficiently.

Prioritize work assignments to meet operational schedules and deadlines.

Interpret technical data, engineering documents, and maintenance instructions.

Communicate effectively with leadership, inspectors, customers, and team members.

Adapt to changing maintenance priorities and operational requirements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and climbing.

Ability to work in confined spaces, aircraft interiors, and at elevated heights.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.

Ability to use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
