Qualifications:
Georgia certificate with certification in subject content area required. Access to a personal computer and reliable internet
Duties:
1. Conduct small group or individual instruction and content review as need to support student progress.
2. Teach one or more subjects in the school and within the framework of the goals established by the school system; plan and implement appropriate long and short-range objectives for each assigned course.
3. Collaborates with fellow content teachers to utilize and implement skills and best practices obtained in professional learning in the classroom to raise the achievement of students.
4. Instruct students in subject matter, utilizing various teaching methods such as lecture, demonstration, technology, and other materials to supplement presentations.
5. Promote student engagement in learning by continually assessing student abilities as it relates to desired educational goals, objectives, and outcomes.
6. Shall exhibit a professional attitude and demeanor at all times in dealing with the board, school administration, fellow employees, parents, students, and the public.
7. Participate in faculty and professional meetings, professional learning, and other training working through the site director and/or curriculum director and apply concepts learned in the classroom to increase student learning.
8. Perform the staff evaluation process including using Coastal Plains TKES.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
