Material Handler - Driver II - VDC - 2nd shift

Job Summary

Responsible for warehouse and assembly operations using a Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) to move goods and materials throughout the Vidalia, GA location.

• Move goods and material within production environment using a PIV.
• Load, unload, or move goods and material with a forklift or other PIV.
• Operate warehouse computer software with moderate expertise.
• Observe equipment operation to detect malfunctions.
• Support plant cost reductions and process improvement projects through lean methods.
• Assist in process improvement efforts with Process Engineers to identify, implement, and validate changes.
• Participate in lean manufacturing and plant initiatives as needed.
• Operate a variety of PIV equipment.

• Valid forklift/tugger license.
• At least 5 years’ experience in warehouse operations.
• Experience operating Ultriva equipment.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English; understand simple written or oral instructions.
• Work within a team environment with limited supervision.
• Available to work any shift, including overtime, to meet production demands.
• Perform multiple duties within and outside assigned area.
• Use required safety gear and equipment.
• Comply with all plant rules and policies.
• Maintain acceptable attendance; adhere to dress code.

Tasks requiring hand and eye coordination, good hand dexterity for more than two thirds of the shift. Lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing 10lb continuously, 25lb repetitively, 50lb occasionally; lifting over 50lb requires two‑person lift or lift assist. Bend, twist, squat, kneel, stoop repetitively. Reach overhead repetitively. Stand continuously 8–10 hours per day. Climb up and down stairs up to 3 hours per day.

Use senses to detect quality defects and unsafe conditions. Moderate physical exertion. Visual acuity: 70‑degree field of vision; 20/40 vision in each eye for far & near; must pass color vision test. This role is Safety Sensitive.

Hourly base pay range: $19.52. Compensation type: hourly. No incentive or sales commission. Benefits begin on Day One, as described below.
