Where Is The WorkOn‑Site (5 days)
OverviewThe Maintenance Apprentice gains on‑the‑job knowledge from the maintenance team by learning and performing basic repair, inspection, and preventive maintenance tasks across facility equipment and systems. This role is designed to provide hands‑on technical training while helping ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of building and production assets.
Key Responsibilities- Help troubleshoot equipment issues under the guidance of experienced technicians; conduct basic inspections, record findings, and document completed work
- Learn to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
- Support preventive maintenance schedules and update maintenance logs
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Follow all workplace safety rules and report hazards promptly
- Participate in training and development activities to build technical skills
- Assist in performing routine maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and HVAC equipment
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a college degree or certificate in a related field of study
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools is helpful
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- This role is a part‑time position. You will be required to work 4 hours/day and must be flexible to meet the needs of the company, including daily off‑shift work, weekends, shutdowns, and holidays. You must also be willing to adjust work hours on short notice and be on call if needed
- Perform tasks requiring hand and eye coordination, with good hand dexterity (gripping and pinching repetitively) for more than two‑thirds of the work shift
- Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 10 pounds continuously, 25 pounds repetitively and 50 pounds occasionally. Lifting or carrying objects over 50 pounds requires a two‑person lift, or a lift assist
- Bend, twist, squat, kneel, and/or stoop repetitively for four hours per day
- Reach overhead repetitively for more than two‑thirds of the work shift
- Stand continuously for four hours per day
- Climb up and down stairs
- Use of senses to detect quality defects and unsafe conditions
- Moderate physical exertion
Hourly rate: $22.42. No incentive or commission.
