No operator license? No problem. We’ll provide the training and support needed to help you develop the knowledge and experience required for success.

What You’ll Do

As an Operator in Training, you’ll work alongside experienced utility professionals to learn the day-to-day operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment systems. Responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with the operation of water and wastewater treatment facilities
  • Monitoring equipment, pumps, meters, and system performance
  • Collecting samples and recording operational data
  • Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Identifying and reporting equipment issues or operational concerns
  • Supporting regulatory compliance and safety initiatives
  • Participating in on-the-job training and certification programs
  • Responding to operational needs and working as part of a collaborative team
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Basic computer and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical job duties
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
